It is the main task of the European Data Protection Board to monitor and ensure the consistent application of the GDPR. To this end, the Board meets regularly in Brussels and is assisted in this task by expert groups. During the plenary sessions, currently relevant data protection issues are discussed, information is exchanged among the data protection authorities, and binding decisions are made for the data protection authorities of the Member States of the European Union.
