Following the BfDI’s relocation into the Graurheindorfer Straße in Bonn, the green areas were redesigned to be insect-friendly by the horticultural company Forster Garten und Landschaftsbau. In particular, bees are now expected to find more food in the approximately 800 m² facility. At the same time, an information path with details on data protection and freedom of information was created. A total of six information boards are dispersed in the data protection garden. The garden with its seating accommodation is open to the public. The information on the data protection (in German) path can also be accessed online.
