Elizabeth Tydd, Australian Information Commissioner
Short Biography

Elizabeth Tydd took up the position of Australian Information Commissioner in August 2024 for a 5-year term.
Elizabeth is an experienced agency head and has occupied a number of statutory decision-making roles, including Information Commissioner, CEO of the NSW Information and Privacy Commission, Australian FOI Commissioner, Deputy President of the Workers Compensation Commission and Deputy Chairperson of the former Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal.
Elizabeth has extensive regulatory and governance experience at an executive and board level in a range of jurisdictions and industries, including commercial, not for profit and public sector oversight.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney, as well as postgraduate certificates in executive management and governance together with post graduate qualifications in leadership and policy from Harvard University. Elizabeth possesses expertise in digital government and has written extensively on this subject.

Natalia Carfi, Executive Director of the Open Data Charter (ODC)
Short Biography

Natalia has been the Executive Director of the Open Data Charter since 2021, after first working as our Deputy Director since 2018.
Natalia is the former Open Government Director for the Undersecretary of Public Innovation and Open Government of Argentina where she led the work with the Open Government Partnership and the Argentinian provinces.
She was the Open Government coordinator for the Digital Division of the Government of Chile (2014-2015) and for the City of Buenos Aires (2015).
Michael Harvey, Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia
Short Biography

Michael Harvey was appointed to a six-year term as BC’s Information and Privacy Commissioner by unanimous motion of the Legislative Assembly in May 2024.
From 2019 until to his appointment, Michael served as the Information and Privacy Commissioner for Newfoundland and Labrador. In early 2015, he led the implementation of the new Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015. Then as Assistant Deputy Minister of Policy, Planning and Performance Management in the Department of Health and Community Services in August 2015, he was responsible for the ongoing statutory review of the Personal Health Information Act.
Michael served as co-chair of Canada Health Infoway’s Privacy Forum and was appointed by the federal government to the Expert Advisory Group on a pan-Canadian Health Data Strategy. He holds an International Baccalaureate from the United World College – USA, a BA (Hons) in Political Science from Memorial University, a MA in Political Studies from Queen’s University and an Executive Certificate in Conflict Management from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law/Stitt Feld Handy Group.
Bruno Lasserre, President of the Commission for Access to Administrative Documents of France
Short Biography

Since September 1 2022, Bruno Lasserre chairs the "Commission d'accès aux documents administratifs", an independant authority which is in charge of promoting transparency and enforcing freedom of information to public files. In that position, he is a member of the CNIL board (the French independant data protection agency). His mandate will expire in September 2028. He recently headed a mission making recommendations for a better articulation of competition policy and personal data protection.
Previously, Président Lasserre was Head of the Conseil d’Etat for four years, until his retirement (2018-2022). He had been a member of the Conseil d’Etat since 1978.
In July 2004, Mr. Lasserre was appointed President of the board of the Conseil de la concurrence (Competition Authority), after having served as a member of the board since 1998. In his twelve years as President, Mr. Lasserre pushed through a major reform of the regulatory body, transforming it into the Autorité de la concurrence and making it responsible for merger review and competition advocacy in addition to antitrust enforcement. Previously, he served on the Conseil d’Etat as Deputy Chairman for all litigation activities from 2002-2004, after having chaired the 1st Chamber from 1998. From 1989-1997, he served as Director for Regulatory Affairs, and then Director General for Posts and Telecommunications at the French Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. In this position, he developed and implemented a comprehensive overhaul of the telecommunications sector, which culminated in its full opening to competition as well as in the creation of an independent regulator.
Président Lasserre is a graduate of Ecole nationale d’administration. He is a Grand Officer of the French Legion d’honneur and a Commander of the French Ordre national du Merite.
Allen Wang, Chief Strategy Officer of BigObject, Representative of Asia Open Data Partnership (AODP)
Short Biography

Allen is a seasoned entrepreneur and is currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at BigObject.
His career started as a computer specialist on Wall Street, where he founded several startups back in the early internet age.
Over the past 30 years, he has gained deep experience working on several data-related initiatives in the higher education industry.
Currently, he is a respected and active member in Asia Open Data Partnership (AODP). He will be the representative of AODP to share his perspectives in ESG and environment issue in Asia.
