The data protection supervisory authorities in Germany, Europe and the world cooperate closely. By agreeing on common positions, they take a stand in debates and create the practical basis for a good implementation of the law in companies and authorities. The BfDI is involved in all committees and their working groups.
With regard to the GDPR, it doesn't look like that, but data protection law is constantly evolving. In the debates, the BfDI repeatedly takes a position for modern data protection.
